The amendment to the programme provides for various new initiatives and policy priorities in the fields of education, training, youth and sport.

One of the major changes comes in the wake of President Juncker’s announcement of the European Solidarity Corps, which is designed to make it easier for people to start or take part in volunteering projects.

There are also changes to all of the major policy fields, largely focusing on changes to the priority fields of action.

Further modifications also focus on measures to reduce youth unemployment and modernise vocational education and training.

The original work programme for 2017 is also available.
